I build every mosaic from the photo you send: thin black “leading” lines between facets of colour, the way light falls through a stained-glass window, with their name and dates in elegant script below. Please note — this is a printed mosaic-style design on genuine slate, not actual glass or glass tile.

How your pet's coat shapes the mosaic

Every portrait is built from your pet's real photo, so the finished stone reflects their actual coat — and that is exactly what makes it theirs. Short, smooth or straight fur (and most cats) breaks into finer, more detailed facets. Dense or curly coats like a Poodle or Doodle still make a beautiful stone, but with fewer, larger facets, because curls don't resolve into sharp geometric lines the same way. I always aim for the most detail your pet's coat allows.

You approve the design before anything is printed

Once your order comes in I design your stone and email you a mockup. Review it within 24 hours — you have up to two rounds of changes. If we still can't reach a design you love, you'll receive a full refund. Any mockup not answered within 24 hours moves to production automatically, so your order stays on schedule.

The mockup is a rendering, not the finished piece. Because I work with natural slate and printing equipment, the final colours, texture and mosaic pattern may differ slightly from the proof and from the photos in this listing — that's normal, and part of why each stone is one of a kind.
