Easy Summer Hydration Dog Treats

Easy Summer Hydration Dog Treats

This is the treat I’d make when I want something fun, bright, and perfect for a summer blog post. It looks playful, but it is still simple: blend, pour, freeze, and serve.

Ingredients:
1 cup seedless watermelon, 1/2 cup peeled cucumber, 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1 tsp honey optional.

Steps:
Blend watermelon and cucumber until smooth. Stir in yogurt, or layer yogurt and fruit puree in molds for a pretty two-tone look. Pour into silicone molds and freeze for 3–4 hours.

Storage:
Keep in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month. Separate layers with parchment if they stick together.

Dog-safety notes:
Use seedless watermelon, peeled cucumber, and plain yogurt. Avoid sweeteners, grapes, chocolate, and anything with xylitol. Homemade frozen treats should be served as occasional snacks, not meals. [4]

When to use this treat:
Pool days, heat waves, post-walk cool downs, or summer enrichment.
