Banana Applesauce Oat Bites for Dogs

Banana Applesauce Oat Bites for Dogs

This is the cozy baked version of a summer fruit treat. I’d make these when I have a ripe banana on the counter and want something soft enough to break into tiny pieces.

Ingredients:
1 ripe banana, 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1 cup rolled oats, 1 egg.

Steps:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mash banana, stir in applesauce and egg, then mix in oats. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes so the oats soften. Scoop small bites onto parchment paper and bake for 12–15 minutes. Cool completely.

Storage:
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 4–5 days. Freeze extras up to 2 months.

Dog-safety notes:
Use plain unsweetened applesauce. Keep bites small and avoid added sugar, xylitol, nutmeg, or flavored oatmeal.

When to use this treat:
Gentle training, small rewards, picky pups, or soft snack time.
