3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Dog Treats
This is one of those recipes I’d make when I want something easy, cozy, and very “dog approved.” The dough comes together fast, the kitchen smells warm, and the little bone shapes make it feel like a real bakery moment for your pup.
Ingredients:
1 cup oat flour, 1/2 cup xylitol-free natural peanut butter, 1 egg, optional 1–2 tbsp water if needed.
Steps:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix peanut butter and egg first, then stir in oat flour. Add a tiny splash of water only if the dough is crumbly. Roll to 1/4 inch thick, cut into shapes, and bake for 15–18 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 5–7 days, or freeze extras up to 2 months.
Dog-safety notes:
Peanut butter must be xylitol-free. Keep treats small and occasional. Homemade treats should not replace balanced meals; AKC lists homemade dog treats as treats, not full diets.
When to use this treat:
Training, photo rewards, weekend baking, or a small after-walk snack.
